Advanced leadership training that focuses on the ongoing professional development for the practising minister as well as those who are training for ministry. As a minister who has been serving the church in a variety of capacities, you will benefit from the upgrading of your skills and knowledge that is relevant to the church’s growth today and in the years to come. The program also offers the opportunity for those who are undertaking their initial training to specialise in the area of their ministry calling, whether that be teaching, intercultural ministry or organisational development. Whatever your ministry gifting, you will have it sharpened. Ministry specialists will expand your vision, your mind and dreams. Discussion groups will allow you to network with your peers and allow you to discuss cutting edge issues.

admission requirements:
To be admitted to the Master of Arts (Ministry) you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Divinity, Theology, Ministry, Biblical Studies, or a relevant discipline of the Arts from an approved institution with at least a credit average OR hold a Bachelors degree in an unrelated discipline plus at least 32 credit hours of Bible and Theology with at least a credit average;
  • Must be in active ministry;
  • Must have a high level of English proficiency. This can be demonstrated by having completed a degree studied in English or by achieving a score of 7.0 or higher on the IELTS scale or equivalent in another approved English test.

study options:
To be awarded the Master of Arts (Ministry) you will be required to complete 8 course-work units. Full time students can complete their course work within 2 years; part time students have up to 5 years and are encouraged to complete 2 units per year.

The program has been structured with you, the busy minister in mind, with all of the units offered in a combination of online and intensive mode of delivery. If you have the capacity to schedule in a few weeks a year, you will find the investment in your future a great blessing.

If you have had 5 years of full time ministry experience you may qualify under the professional entry category. All applications under this category are evaluated on individual merit.
